veos goes for Kanzi®,
The name "Kanzi" means literally "hidden treasure". The apple was bred from the varieties Gala and Braeburn and comes with an excellent flavour, typical red coloration and crunchy bite.

Hagelschutz
Als wirksamste Maßnahme zur Minderung von Hagelschäden hat sich die Überspannung der Obstanlagen mit Hagelnetzen durchgesetzt. Auch die Apfelproduzenten der Erzeugerorganisation Dresdener Obst eG, einem Gesellschafter der VEOS Vertriebsgesellschaft für Obst mbH, wollen in den kommenden Jahren in Hagelnetze investieren. Begonnen wurde mit dem Überspannen besonders gefährdeter Anlagen in der Obstbauregion. Um den Lichteinfall möglichst optimal zu halten, setzt man auf moderne Systeme mit hellen Netzen.
Ice cold cherries from veos
Also in 2008 the sweet cherries will be sorted by size and quality to keep their superior quality as good as possible in order to meet the demands of our customers.
After the grading the cherries are chilled to 2° C by ice water in the hydro cooler, and then packed carefully in cartons. That guarantees that the fruit remain fresh and crisp, even if the transport may take a little longer.

Sachsenobst Vermarktungsgesllschaft mbH Dürrweitzschen has become associate partner of veos
On 27 January 2009 the general meeting of "veos Vertriebsgesellschaft für Obst mbH" took place in Dürrweitzschen.
On the agenda were the report of the management, the annual statements as well as the balance of the fiscal year 2007-2008. Another significant item was the reception of Sachsenobst Vermarktungsgesellschaft mbH Dürrweitzschen" as shareholder of veos.
Joachim Baatz and Dr. Paul Schenk were appointed managing directors.
Cold stores in Röhrsdorf have been finished
The new ULO cold store of the grower co-operative "Borthener Obst eG" for 18 000 tons of top fruits has been put into service on time in addition to the already existing storage capacities and the sorting and packing station.
The growers in the Dresden region expect a satisfying crop of top fruit of excellent qualitiy for the beginning season 2008/2009.
